Golpo AI for Jira and Confluence: Turn Tickets and Pages into Explainer Videos

Your team's most important context lives in Jira tickets and Confluence pages — the bug that took a week to track down, the architecture decision behind the last refactor, the runbook every new hire reads. Turning that written context into video usually means a separate tool, a separate workflow, and an hour you don't have.

Golpo AI ships two Atlassian Marketplace apps that close that gap. Open a Jira issue → click → get a Golpo-generated explainer video. Open a Confluence page → click → same thing.

Both apps install in minutes from the Atlassian Marketplace. They generate video by calling the Golpo API behind the scenes, so they run on Golpo's API plans — separate from the consumer-facing subscription tiers used inside the Golpo app. This guide walks through what each app does, the use cases teams get the most value from, how installation works, and which API plan is the right fit.

Golpo AI for Jira and Confluence — two new Atlassian Marketplace apps that turn tickets and pages into AI-generated explainer videos

The two apps at a glance

Both apps run inside the native Atlassian UI your team already uses. There's no new tool to install on your laptop, no exporting and re-uploading, no copy-pasting issue descriptions into a separate workflow. You stay in Jira or Confluence — Golpo handles the script, the narration, the visuals, and the animation, then hands you back a finished MP4.

Browse both on the Golpo AI for Atlassian landing page or on our vendor profile on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Golpo AI for Jira

What it does: Adds a Generate video action inside any Jira issue. Click it, and Golpo reads the issue title, description, comments, and linked context, drafts a video script that captures the problem and resolution, then generates a Golpo whiteboard explainer.

Demo: turning a Jira issue into a Golpo whiteboard explainer in one click.

Where teams use it

  • Sprint demos — turn a closed epic into a 3-minute video for sprint review. No more screen-share-and-narrate; ship a video that anyone on the team can watch on their own time.
  • Bug post-mortems — explain what broke and how it was fixed, narrated, for shared learning. The next engineer who hits a similar bug finds the video on the linked Jira issue.
  • Engineering onboarding — every new hire's reading list becomes a watchable playlist. Pin the videos to onboarding epics so reps don't have to read 40 tickets to understand the codebase.
  • Stakeholder updates — translate Jira's technical detail into a video that product managers, designers, and execs can consume in 2 minutes instead of skimming 20 comments.

Golpo AI for Confluence

What it does: Adds a Generate video action inside any Confluence page. Click it, and Golpo pulls the page content (including headings, lists, tables, and embedded media), drafts a video script that captures the key sections, then generates a Golpo whiteboard explainer.

Demo: turning a Confluence page into a Golpo whiteboard explainer without leaving Atlassian.

Where teams use it

  • Runbooks and SOPs — every internal runbook becomes an explainer video for fast onboarding. New hires watch the runbook instead of reading 12 nested pages.
  • Customer success — Confluence-hosted help articles become support videos in a click. Pair the video with the article and watch support tickets drop.
  • L&D and training — turn your training wiki into a video library without re-authoring anything. The Confluence page stays the source of truth; the video is the consumable form.
  • Architecture and RFCs — communicate technical decisions across teams as video, not just walls of text. Especially useful for distributed teams across time zones.

How it actually works

Both apps call the same Golpo video generation engine that powers the standalone app at video.golpoai.com — via the Golpo API. Inside Jira and Confluence you get the core generation capabilities:

  • Multiple visual styles — Canvas, Sketch, Chalkboard, and the rest of the Golpo style library.
  • 50+ languages — generate the same video in Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin, Portuguese, and more without re-authoring.

Advanced post-production features available in the standalone Golpo app — frame-by-frame prompt editing, voice cloning, bring-your-own-voice narration, and custom logo / brand-style configuration — aren't exposed inside the Atlassian apps yet. If you need any of those, generate the base video inside Jira/Confluence, then open it in the standalone Golpo dashboard to refine.

Because both apps are API-driven, you'll need an API-eligible Golpo plan (see Buy API plans below). One API plan covers both apps and the standalone Golpo API — credits and API keys are shared across all three surfaces.

Buy API plans

The Jira and Confluence apps use the Golpo API to generate every video. That means a standalone Golpo subscription (Starter, Creator, or Growth) alone won't work — you need a plan that includes API access. There are three paths, each suited to a different team profile.

  • Pricing model: Pure usage-based. Pay only for the video minutes you actually generate.
  • $2.00 / minute for monthly spend between $0 and $1,000 (about 30 seconds of video per $1).
  • $1.50 / minute for monthly spend between $1,001 and $5,000.
  • $1.20 / minute for monthly spend above $5,001.
  • Minimum monthly commitment: $200.
  • Auto top-up: when your balance drops below $25, the account is topped up automatically so generation never pauses mid-pipeline. Pause it anytime from the API dashboard.
  • Best for: Teams piloting Jira/Confluence video generation, or production workloads where every video is triggered by Atlassian app actions. Scales cleanly from a few videos a month to thousands.

2. Scale — flat-fee platform + API

  • Price: $999.99 / month.
  • Included video: 800 minutes of generation per month.
  • Access: Full Golpo platform UI and API — both included.
  • Best for: Teams that want both manual video creation inside the Golpo dashboard and programmatic generation from Jira/Confluence, with predictable monthly capacity and one flat bill.

3. Business plan + API add-on

  • Business base: $499.99 / month with 390 included video minutes.
  • API add-on: +$200 / month on top.
  • Access: Full Business platform features, plus API generation against your Business plan's included minutes.
  • Best for: Teams already on Business that want to add Atlassian app generation without jumping all the way to Scale.

Credit accounting is unchanged. One credit still equals one minute of video. Each Jira ticket or Confluence page generation deducts credits based on the video length you choose. See the credit deduction guide for the exact rules across prompt mode, own-narration mode, and editing.

Privacy and security

Both apps run as cloud-hosted Atlassian apps with scoped permissions — they only read the issue or page content you explicitly ask them to summarize, and that content isn't retained beyond what's needed to render the video. Each app's documentation includes a dedicated Privacy Policy, Security Policy, and Terms of Service.

Read the full policies inside the docs:

Get started

The fastest path is to install the app for the tool your team uses most:

Once installed, the setup-to-first-video workflow looks the same in either tool:

  • Step 1 — Pick an API plan. If your workspace doesn't already have API access, choose one of the three plans in the Buy API plans section above and subscribe.
  • Step 2 — Generate an API key. In the Golpo dashboard, click Create API Key (location depends on your plan — see the API access guide) and copy the key.
  • Step 3 — Paste the key into the app's settings inside Jira or Confluence. This step happens once per workspace; the app remembers it for every future generation.
  • Step 4 — Open any Jira issue or Confluence page and click the Generate video action.
  • Step 5 — Pick a length (30 seconds to 15 minutes), style, and language, then hit generate.
  • Step 6 — Get back a finished MP4 in about 10 minutes.
