Getting Started

Install Golpo AI for Confluence and configure it in under 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • βœ“ A Confluence Cloud site
  • βœ“ Site admin access (for initial setup)
  • βœ“ A Golpo AI account on the API Only plan, for the API key that powers video generation (a free starter pool lets you try the app first β€” see Step 4)
1

Install from Atlassian Marketplace

  1. Go to the Atlassian Marketplace and search for "Golpo AI for Confluence"
  2. Click Install and select your Confluence site
  3. Accept the required permissions and confirm the installation
Note: Only site administrators can install Marketplace apps. If you're not an admin, ask your site admin to install it for you.
2

Get Your API Key

  1. Go to video.golpoai.com and sign up for an account (if you don't have one already)
  2. Purchase the API Only plan, which unlocks video generation in Confluence and provides the API Key
  3. Navigate to the Playground page
  4. Click Create API Key
  5. Copy the generated API key immediately and store it somewhere safe β€” it won't be shown again
Important: Save your API key securely right after creating it. For security reasons, the full key is only displayed once. If you lose it, you'll need to create a new one.
3

Configure the API Key

  1. Go to Apps in the Confluence top navigation
  2. Click Golpo AI Settings
  3. Paste your API key
  4. Click Connect
Tip: The API key is configured in this app's settings for your Confluence site. You only need to configure it once β€” all users on the site can then generate videos without needing their own key.
4

Verify It Works

  1. Open any Confluence page β€” you should see the Generate Explainer Video button in the page byline (below the page title)
  2. Click Generate Video to generate your first video
  3. The video will be generated in the background (3-35 minutes depending on duration)
Free starter pool: A new install includes a small pool of free credits, so you can generate a few short videos (limited to 30 seconds–1 minute) to try the app out even before an API key is configured. Connecting your API Only plan key (Steps 2 & 3) is what unlocks longer videos and continued use.
