Turn an approved founder explanation into a steady stream of presenter-led product updates, with the feature itself taking center stage.

A useful release update tells customers what changed, why they should care, and what to do next. Golpo Avatar lets you put an authorized founder presenter beside that explanation without arranging another recording session. The strongest opportunity is a repeatable update workflow: one approved message, accurate product visuals, and a recognizable presenter that can be reused.

Your presenter plus Golpo’s visual explanation is a winning combination: a recognizable guide alongside visuals that make the idea easier to follow.

Watch the new Avatar example

This new founder-style release announcement uses Shraman’s Natural custom Avatar. It explains the portrait-or-Stock choice, separate narration, presenter layouts, and actual Avatar credit rates. It is a release communication example you can adapt to a verified customer-facing feature.

The example uses a short script and a one-minute duration selection. The rates describe video generation; the planning budget below uses its own stated video lengths. This example keeps the presenter beside the explanation in the selected Side by side layout.

Why this is worth testing

A release ships, but the founder has no time for another shoot. Customers receive a long changelog instead of seeing why the change matters.

63% of consumers said they would most like to learn about a product or service through a short video. Wyzowl: Video Marketing Statistics 2026

266 respondents across marketers and consumers; questions separated by group. Small, vendor-led survey. Stated preference, not a measured conversion improvement. The consumer subgroup is smaller than the full 266-person sample.

Short video is a plausible way to explain a release. The distinctive Avatar benefit is reusing the founder’s appearance alongside Golpo’s visual explanation, reducing repeated recording work. The research does not prove that the avatar will outperform a filmed founder.

How to build the workflow, step by step

  1. Select one customer problem from the release notes and write an approved two-minute script: old friction, new behavior, next action.
  2. Create a Natural custom Avatar from an authorized founder portrait. Review the framing and layouts, then select narration separately.
  3. Use Horizontal, Side by side or Round overlay, with approved product screenshots and a clear before-and-after explanation.
  4. Have the product owner review every claim and screen. Share the finished update in the product announcement and relevant help article; update it when the feature changes.

Set up the presenter in Golpo

  1. Open the Playground and turn on Talking AI Avatar. For a Stock presenter, open Golpo and choose the appropriate ready-to-use Avatar. For your own presenter, choose Create new, upload a clear authorized portrait, review the framing and approved layouts, name it, and save it. Use Mine to select a saved custom Avatar.
  2. Choose narration separately. Paste the approved narration in Script Mode, then add visual and voice instructions in their separate fields. Pick Canvas or Sketch and the style that suits the explanation.
  3. Choose Horizontal and a presentation layout. Give diagrams, product screens, or real source images enough room to be readable. Preview the composition before generation.
  4. Generate, watch the complete result, verify every important visual and spoken claim, and review pronunciation. Correct any problems before uploading or embedding the accepted video through your existing distribution tools.

What the time and money could look like

Illustrative planning example — replace these assumptions with measurements from your own pilot.

30 hours of capacity per quarter

24 videos × (2.00 − 0.75 hours) = 30 hours; 30 × $150/hour = $4,500

24 two-minute updates per quarter. The comparison assumes 2 hours per approved recorded video versus 45 minutes per approved Avatar video, including script checks and review. Both are hypotheses to time in a pilot.

Subtract Golpo cost, additional review or regeneration, and any maintenance not included in those timings. The $4,500 is the value of freed founder capacity, not cash received.

Plan the generation budget

24 videos × 2 minutes × 5 credits per minute = 240 credits for one successful generation per planned video. Natural custom Avatar; optional Polished creation is a separate 1 credit.

Stock Avatar videos use 3 credits per minute; custom Avatar videos use 5 credits per minute. A Natural custom Avatar has no creation credit. An optional Polished portrait uses 1 credit after successful creation, separately from video generation. Budget additional generations and convert credits to your actual plan cost when calculating the business case.

Run a pilot that can prove value

Create four updates using the current workflow and four comparable Avatar updates. Log total labor and revisions. Compare feature-task completion or activation after distribution; use comparable releases or audiences, not view counts alone.

Record the full workflow: source preparation, scripting, generation, factual review, revisions, distribution, and updates. Compare accepted outputs and successful tasks. Calculate net value after all attributable costs; views and freed salaried hours alone are not collected revenue or payroll savings.

Frequently asked questions

Will the founder need to record each update?

The custom Avatar uses the saved portrait. Each update still needs an approved script, narration choice, visuals, and a final review.

Is this a substitute for a real product demo?

Use actual screenshots and accurate steps wherever the task depends on the interface. The presenter introduces and explains the behavior; the visuals must show it correctly.

How do we know it improved adoption?

Track completion of the feature’s first useful task against a comparable audience or release, then account for distribution differences. Playback alone is not adoption.

What does Avatar generation cost?

Stock Avatar videos use 3 credits per minute; custom Avatar videos use 5. A Natural custom avatar has no creation credit. An optional Polished portrait uses 1 credit after successful creation, separately from video generation. Credit amounts in this guide budget one successful generation per planned video; additional generations need additional budget.

Does uploading a selfie clone my voice?

No. Avatar identity and narration are separate choices. Select a voice independently; a personal voice requires the separate voice-cloning workflow.

Can I keep my presenter alongside visual explanations?

Yes. Choose Side by side, Round overlay, Full screen, or Auto, and use the approved layouts for your portrait. Auto may briefly hide the presenter to keep important content clear. Use Horizontal for the workflows in this guide.

Are the savings and revenue figures proven Golpo results?

No. Every business model here is illustrative. Time estimates, hourly values, adoption rates, prices, and sales assumptions must be replaced with pilot measurements. Labor capacity is not automatically a payroll saving. Bookings are not collected cash.

How do we turn a promising concept into evidence?

Measure the current process first, then pilot with a comparable audience and approved content. Include scripting, reviews, revisions, maintenance, distribution, software, and any translation costs. Count resolved tasks, learning, or paid business outcomes rather than treating views as ROI.
