One Presenter, More Markets: Localized Explainers Without Repeated Recording
Reuse an approved presenter identity across localized explanations, while native-language reviewers protect the meaning and product accuracy.

A clear explanation should survive translation. Reusing a presenter can reduce repeated recording, but every language version still needs accurate terminology, readable visual text, and reviewed narration. Start with a small target-language pilot and expand only after the complete result works for the intended audience.
Your presenter plus Golpo’s visual explanation is a winning combination: a recognizable guide alongside visuals that make the idea easier to follow.
Watch the new Avatar example
Leilani explains how to preserve meaning when preparing localized Avatar videos. This new example is in English and demonstrates the review workflow. It is not a completed translation or proof that any particular target-language Avatar combination is supported.
Play the video inside this guide. Use the player’s full-screen control to expand it.
The example uses a short script and a one-minute duration selection. The rates describe video generation; the planning budget below uses its own stated video lengths. Auto can change among approved layouts and briefly hide the presenter to keep important content visible.
Why this is worth testing
Every new locale can trigger another recording cycle. Translation alone is not enough: terminology, visuals, narration, and presenter animation must all work for the audience.
76% preferred to buy products with information in their own language. CSA Research: Consumers Prefer Their Own Language
8,709 consumers in 29 countries. An older language-preference survey, explicitly dated 2020. Stated preference, not a current conversion benchmark or proof of Avatar language support. Validate translation, voice, and animation in a target-language pilot.
Language preference creates a reason to localize useful explanations. Reusing an Avatar may reduce repeated recording, but generic Golpo multilingual narration documentation is not proof that every Avatar-language combination works. Test the target-language voice and animation before promising coverage.
How to build the workflow, step by step
- Approve a master explanation and select two target languages for a pilot. Translate the script and any visual text with a competent reviewer.
- Reuse the authorized custom presenter or selected Stock Avatar. Choose the target-language narration independently and test pronunciation, animation, and readability.
- Use Horizontal, Side by side or Auto, keeping localized visual labels clear. Have a bilingual reviewer check the complete rendered result, not only the source text.
- Distribute through the existing locale-specific customer-education channel. Maintain version links back to the approved source and refresh translations when it changes.
Set up the presenter in Golpo
- Open the Playground and turn on Talking AI Avatar. For a Stock presenter, open Golpo and choose the appropriate ready-to-use Avatar. For your own presenter, choose Create new, upload a clear authorized portrait, review the framing and approved layouts, name it, and save it. Use Mine to select a saved custom Avatar.
- Choose narration separately. Paste the approved narration in Script Mode, then add visual and voice instructions in their separate fields. Pick Canvas or Sketch and the style that suits the explanation.
- Choose Horizontal and a presentation layout. Give diagrams, product screens, or real source images enough room to be readable. Preview the composition before generation.
- Generate, watch the complete result, verify every important visual and spoken claim, and review pronunciation. Correct any problems before uploading or embedding the accepted video through your existing distribution tools.
What the time and money could look like
Illustrative planning example — replace these assumptions with measurements from your own pilot.
6 hours of capacity per four-language release
4 two-minute language versions × (2.0 − 0.5 hours) = 6 hours; × $100/hour = $600/release
The comparison assumes two hours of recording and production per language versus 30 minutes of generation and review using already-approved localized material. The target-language Avatar pilot must pass before using this estimate.
Translation and terminology review are outside both time estimates and must still be budgeted. Deduct any incremental translation, bilingual review, software, and regeneration costs. No automatic international-revenue lift is assumed.
Plan the generation budget
4 videos × 2 minutes × 5 credits per minute = 40 credits for one successful generation per planned video. Stock alternatives would use 24 credits for these planned minutes; validate the target-language workflow first.
Stock Avatar videos use 3 credits per minute; custom Avatar videos use 5 credits per minute. A Natural custom Avatar has no creation credit. An optional Polished portrait uses 1 credit after successful creation, separately from video generation. Budget additional generations and convert credits to your actual plan cost when calculating the business case.
Run a pilot that can prove value
Use two languages and one stable explanation. Measure total production and review labor and have native-language users complete the intended task. Expand only when meaning, voice, animation, and task success meet the same standard as the source version.
Record the full workflow: source preparation, scripting, generation, factual review, revisions, distribution, and updates. Compare accepted outputs and successful tasks. Calculate net value after all attributable costs; views and freed salaried hours alone are not collected revenue or payroll savings.
Frequently asked questions
Can we claim support for every language?
No. Verify the intended language, narration, and Avatar rendering in a pilot before making a coverage claim.
Does the selfie automatically provide the same voice in another language?
No. Presenter identity and narration are separate. Select and review the intended voice; do not assume automatic cross-language voice cloning.
Can we remove the translation reviewer?
The modeled recording savings do not replace competent localization review. Product terminology and visual labels must be checked in the complete video.
What does Avatar generation cost?
Stock Avatar videos use 3 credits per minute; custom Avatar videos use 5. A Natural custom avatar has no creation credit. An optional Polished portrait uses 1 credit after successful creation, separately from video generation. Credit amounts in this guide budget one successful generation per planned video; additional generations need additional budget.
Does uploading a selfie clone my voice?
No. Avatar identity and narration are separate choices. Select a voice independently; a personal voice requires the separate voice-cloning workflow.
Can I keep my presenter alongside visual explanations?
Yes. Choose Side by side, Round overlay, Full screen, or Auto, and use the approved layouts for your portrait. Auto may briefly hide the presenter to keep important content clear. Use Horizontal for the workflows in this guide.
Are the savings and revenue figures proven Golpo results?
No. Every business model here is illustrative. Time estimates, hourly values, adoption rates, prices, and sales assumptions must be replaced with pilot measurements. Labor capacity is not automatically a payroll saving. Bookings are not collected cash.
How do we turn a promising concept into evidence?
Measure the current process first, then pilot with a comparable audience and approved content. Include scripting, reviews, revisions, maintenance, distribution, software, and any translation costs. Count resolved tasks, learning, or paid business outcomes rather than treating views as ROI.
