Moving a Doodly Workflow to Golpo: A Migration Checklist

Move one unstarted video from your Doodly workflow to Golpo before changing your whole production process. This checklist covers the script, licensed media, first render, corrections, and archive. 1. Preserve your editable originals

Keep existing Doodly projects, exports, narration, scripts, fonts, and asset-license records. This checklist does not promise that a Doodly project file, scene timeline, drawing path, or bundled asset can be imported into Golpo. Verify your rights before reusing third-party media outside the original tool.

2. Pick an unstarted item

Choose a short explanation you actually need, with an approved script or source document. Finish a nearly completed Doodly project in its current workflow if rebuilding would add work. Record what success means: accurate explanation, readable labels, acceptable voice, required format, and a licensed downloadable file.

3. Separate words, pictures, and voice

• Script: paste the approved narration in Script Mode. Remove stage directions from the spoken words.
• Video Instructions: describe diagrams, exact labels, relationships, and style. Use the controls available on your plan.
• Voice Instructions: describe pacing, tone, pronunciation, and emphasis.

For an existing authorized recording, check the Own Narration workflow. For literal screenshots, logos, or diagrams, check media insertion. A drawing-style reference guides generation; it does not recreate a Doodly scene exactly.

4. Keep and review the first render

Save the original output. Check every factual claim, diagram arrow, label, pronunciation, and transition. Measure preparation and hands-on corrections separately from rendering. No universal minutes-per-video saving can be inferred from this migration checklist.

5. Correct the right layer

Use paid visual frame editing for labels and images. If narration is wrong, change the script or recording and render again. Review the first free edit and later credit rules in the editing guide. Log these operations as migration work.

6. Confirm the plan and export

• Preview and export: Free provides one 1-minute, watermarked preview that cannot be downloaded. Starter is $39.99/month, billed monthly, with 20 credits and downloads without the watermark.
• Presenters: Golpo supports AI Presenter, including custom photo-based presenters and stock Golpo Avatars. • API: Business lists API access as a $200 add-on; Scale includes API access. API Only is a separate usage-based offering with a $200 minimum commitment. Ordinary Pay As You Go does not include API access.
• Editing: Paid plans support visual frame editing. Correct spoken wording in the script and render again; a visual frame edit does not rewrite narration. Review the editing guide before estimating revision work.

When to keep the Doodly workflow

Keep using Doodly for a project whose value depends on its existing editable scenes, exact asset placement, or drawing paths. Complete a second representative video and compare accepted files, total effort, and actual costs. Keep both original project archives. Expand the change only after the new workflow meets your production requirements.
