A Video That Sits Beside the Written Lesson
A written lesson can gain a matching video without a new production team. Golpo turns the hard paragraph into a narrated visual companion, in the author's voice, with the instructor on screen.

The short answer: A written lesson can gain a matching video without a reshoot or a new production team. Golpo turns the hard paragraph into a planned, illustrated, narrated, synchronized companion that sits beside the page.
Why this is practical now: The written curriculum can stay in place and still offer a visual case wherever readers get stuck. Golpo plans the example, draws it, narrates it, and returns a polished video that feels like part of the course.
The author can remain the voice through their own audio or an authorized clone. A selfie puts the instructor on screen for the case. One creator can add a companion wherever a paragraph needs to move.
Use the full Golpo production system
Golpo is built to be the world's best AI whiteboard explainer video maker. Give it a topic, a prompt, a script, an audio recording, or a source document. It scripts, plans the scenes, designs the visuals, narrates, times and synchronizes every frame, and returns a polished video. One person can run that system across a whole course.
For a companion video, match the written lesson's tone. A selfie-based instructor can introduce the case, Own Narration can preserve the lesson author's delivery, and the whiteboard can carry the example.
- Start with an idea or source. Golpo can draft the script and plan the scenes from a topic, a document, or your outline. Script Mode can also speak the exact words you already trust.
- Keep the creator present. With AI Presenter, a course creator, founder, professor, or YouTuber can upload a selfie and appear beside the whiteboard. One person can lead a large lesson library without recording every visual sequence on camera.
- Use the right voice. Own Narration turns uploaded or live-recorded audio into the visual lesson. An authorized Voice Clone gives recurring lessons a recognizable voice at scale. Consent and pronunciation review remain required.
- Repair instead of restarting. The frame-by-frame editor can replace text, images, references, or an individual visual when the QA pass finds a local problem.
- Automate at scale. The Golpo API can be called from Codex, Claude Code, or through the Golpo MCP server in Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Visual Studio. The course platform can generate, poll, review, and publish without a person moving files between tools.
The layout this page owns
The page has a paragraph, then the video, then the same paragraph’s notation if the course uses notation. The video’s first sentence should be recognizable as a case of the paragraph, not as a new rule. Editing the video’s script is not how the course changes policy. The editor changes the paragraph, the QA agent rechecks the case, and only then does a new script go out for render.
Turning one blog post into a YouTube cut, a LinkedIn cut, an email, and a short is the job of blog posts to educational videos. That guide can keep the repurposing. This page keeps the side-by-side course page, where the writing remains the source of truth. A video indexed to someone else’s textbook section is the textbook companion spoke. If the source is the course’s own lesson page, stay here.
From paragraph to picture
- Freeze the paragraph. Store a hash of the canonical text with the lesson ID. A silent edit to the paragraph invalidates the video.
- Choose one case. The creator agent drafts a script that uses only numbers the paragraph’s rule can carry. Extra theory is a new section, not a richer video.
- Recompute the case. The QA agent applies the paragraph’s rule to the numbers. It also checks that the script does not add a second rule the paragraph never stated.
- Render. Golpo draws the case. Watch-back compares every on-screen number to the paragraph’s example, or to the example the paragraph’s rule produces.
- Place the player. The platform’s template puts the player after the definition and before the practice. Autoplay is a bad default: it lets the video speak a case before the reader has seen the sentence.
Two cases, two sections
First paragraph, in the course’s own writing: assets equal liabilities plus equity. The companion shows one owner investment and nothing else. Debit Cash 5,000. Credit Equity 5,000. Assets rise by 5,000. Equity rises by 5,000. Liabilities stay put. Both sides of the equation rise by the same amount. A video that also depreciates the cash, or that calls the credit revenue, has left the paragraph.
Second paragraph, later in the same written lesson or the next section: contribution margin is price minus variable cost. The case uses price 40 and variable cost 25. Margin is 40 − 25 = 15. The margin ratio is 15 / 40 = 0.375, which the narration may also call 37.5 percent if both forms appear and match. The paragraph keeps the definition. The video only draws that pair. It does not become a pricing seminar.
These numbers are constructed. A real firm’s price and cost do not belong in the script unless the written lesson has already published them and the course has the right to teach them. The QA agent’s job includes that scope check, not only the subtraction.
The accounting curriculum spoke teaches journal entries as the lesson itself. Here the entry is a picture of a sentence. If the course needs the five-step revenue model, send the learner to the accounting lessons instead of stretching this companion until it replaces the writing.
Script Mode lesson 1 of 2
1. Cash in, equity up
Finished Golpo video · Lesson 1 · Script Mode · open MP4
Audience: Readers who can recite the accounting equation and still not see an entry
Lesson job: Draw one investment beside the sentence assets equal liabilities plus equity
Checked against: Constructed teaching case. The paragraph states that assets equal liabilities plus equity. Dr Cash 5,000, Cr Equity 5,000. Both sides rise by 5,000. The writing remains canonical.

Own Narration: OFF · Script Mode: ON · Duration: 1 minute · Orientation: Horizontal (16:9) · Style: Professional Clean · Color: ON · Language: English · Voice: Female 2 · Pace: Normal · Music: None
Exact script used for this video
The written lesson already states the equation. Assets equal liabilities plus equity. This video does not replace that sentence. It draws one case beside it. An owner invests five thousand dollars. Debit cash five thousand. Credit equity five thousand. Assets rise by five thousand. Equity rises by five thousand. Liabilities stay where they were. Both sides of the equation rise by the same five thousand, so the equation still holds. The paragraph remains the definition. The picture is one investment, not a second textbook. Read the sentence, then watch the entry, then read the sentence again. If the spoken five thousand and the drawn five thousand disagree, the companion does not ship. The writing is still the canonical text. One investment is enough for this page. Stay with this owner and this deposit from the first frame to the last. The sentence never leaves the page.
Video Instructions
A written sentence stays on the left. On the right, cash and equity each rise by five thousand. Liabilities do not move. End with both sides up by five thousand and the sentence still visible. Allowed labels: Assets = liabilities + equity; Dr Cash $5,000; Cr Equity $5,000; Both sides +$5,000. Do not add a sample stamp, a demo label, or any claim that the lesson is fictional. Show only the labels listed. If a number appears, it must match the narration exactly. No extra dates, prices, percentages, logos, or quotations.
Voice Instructions
Quiet and exact. The paragraph stays in charge.
Course package
- Lesson title: Cash in, equity up
- Title card: BOTH SIDES UP 5,000
- Closing line: What did not change?
Review before a learner can watch
The sentence stays on screen. Liabilities do not move. Block a second transaction.
Script Mode lesson 2 of 2
2. One diagram, same sentence
Finished Golpo video · Lesson 2 · Script Mode · open MP4
Audience: Readers meeting contribution margin in the next section
Lesson job: Draw only the pair of numbers the paragraph already uses
Checked against: Price 40, variable cost 25, contribution margin 15. 40 − 25 = 15, and 15 / 40 = 0.375. The paragraph stays the definition. The video only draws that pair.

A later section of the same lesson defines contribution margin in a sentence. Price minus variable cost. The video only draws the pair of numbers in that sentence. Price is forty. Variable cost is twenty five. Forty minus twenty five is fifteen. The contribution margin is fifteen. Fifteen divided by forty is zero point three seven five. That is the margin as a share of the price. The paragraph still owns the definition. The picture owns this one pair, forty, twenty five, and fifteen. It does not invent a second product or a second price. When the learner returns to the page, the sentence and the diagram have to say the same thing. The video sits beside the writing. It does not become the writing. Leave the paragraph on the page while the diagram plays. Forty, twenty five, and fifteen stay paired with the sentence.
Video Instructions
The definition sentence stays on the page. The diagram draws only forty, twenty five, and fifteen, then fifteen divided by forty. No second product. End with zero point three seven five beside the sentence. Allowed labels: Price 40; Variable cost 25; 40 - 25 = 15; 15 / 40 = 0.375. Do not add a sample stamp, a demo label, or any claim that the lesson is fictional. Show only the labels listed. If a number appears, it must match the narration exactly. No extra dates, prices, percentages, logos, or quotations.
Voice Instructions
Exact with forty, twenty five, fifteen, and zero point three seven five.
Course package
- Lesson title: One diagram, same sentence
- Title card: 40, 25, AND 15
- Closing line: Which number is the sentence, and which number is the picture?
Review before a learner can watch
0.375 has to match 15 / 40. No second product and no second price.
When the paragraph changes
A revised definition gets a new hash. The old player is unpublished. The creator agent may draft a new case, or the same case if the rule still produces it. The QA agent compares the new script to the new hash, not to its memory of last month’s page. Shipping the $5,000 video beside a paragraph that now discusses a loan would teach two lessons at once and call them one.
Watch-back fails if the spoken 5,000 is drawn as 500, if equity is labeled revenue, if 40 − 25 is drawn as 25, or if 15 / 40 is labeled as 15 percent. Fifteen percent would be 0.15, and 0.15 × 40 = 6, which is not the margin in the case. That distinction is worth a second look because a hurried label will swap 0.375 and 15.
Risks
Companions drift into summaries. A summary can be useful, and it is a different product: the video becomes canonical the moment it states a rule the page does not. The release test is a highlighter’s test. Every claim in the script should be markable in the paragraph or be a direct arithmetic consequence of a marked sentence. Claims that fail the highlighter test wait for a new section.
The platform’s agents can both miss a drift if the QA agent is asked only “do the numbers add up?” Ask it also “which sentence allows this line?” If it cannot point at a sentence, the draft is not a companion yet.
The page, from top to bottom
A companion page that staff can maintain has a fixed order. The objective sentence comes first, in the course’s writing. The definition comes next, still in writing. The player comes third, with autoplay off and the script’s case matching one example the definition allows. Practice comes fourth, using new numbers so the video’s case is not the only retrieval. For the equation page, the practice might ask the learner to record the entry for a $2,000 owner investment: debit cash 2,000, credit equity 2,000. The QA agent checks that practice key when the page is published. The video keeps 5,000. Reusing 5,000 as the practice item means the learner can copy the screen.
For the margin page, practice uses a new pair, price 50 and variable cost 20. Margin is 30. The ratio is 30 / 50 = 0.6. The video stays on 40, 25, 15, and 0.375. Staff who want the video to “match the homework” are asking the companion to become the homework solution. That is the walkthrough spoke, with a key and a blank page. The companion’s job is the definition’s single pictured case. If homework needs a worked solution, index it as a solution and run the solution’s check. Do not stretch the 40-and-25 video until it contains every problem in the set.
When a subject editor revises a definition, the publish button on the paragraph is also a revoke button on the player. The platform computes the paragraph hash on save. A changed hash sets the video status to blocked and shows the editor the old hash and the new hash. The editor can restore the paragraph, or send the new paragraph through the creator agent and the QA agent. There is no third choice called “the video is probably still fine.” Probably is how a cash-investment picture ends up beside a paragraph about a bank loan. The loan is a different case: cash up, liabilities up, equity unchanged. Teaching it requires a new paragraph and a new script, not a shrug.
Staff also need a rule for examples that use money symbols and percent labels together. In the margin case, 15 / 40 is 0.375, and 37.5 percent is the same value only if the label says percent. A frame that prints 0.375% has divided by 100 a second time and now means 0.00375, which times 40 is 0.15, not 15. The QA agent should list every on-screen rate it expects: the decimal, and the percent if the script uses both. Watch-back fails on a percent sign that the script did not place. The cash case has a similar trap with thousands separators. 5,000 and 5000 are the same integer. 5.000 in a locale that uses a dot for thousands is also 5000, and in a locale that uses a dot for decimals it is 5. The course picks one convention in the paragraph, the script repeats that convention, and the pictures are not allowed a third. A companion that requires a footnote to explain its own punctuation has stopped being a picture of the paragraph. Staff resolve the convention in the paragraph first, then copy that convention into the script, and only then ask Golpo to draw it.
Automate it: review gates and publishing with the Golpo API
For video companions, the whole path from source to published lesson can run as one pipeline on the course platform. An agent in Codex with the Golpo Codex Skill, in Claude Code with the Golpo Claude Skill, or in Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Visual Studio through the Golpo MCP server can call the Golpo API, wait for the render, and hand the file to the platform's review steps. Production stops being the limit on how many checked lessons a course can offer.
- Attach the reference first. Store the written lesson paragraph the video sits beside with the lesson before any script is drafted.
- Review the script against the reference before rendering. If a solution or source exists, the platform's QA agent checks the draft against it: it re-solves, re-adds, or re-reads, then compares. A mismatch or an uncertain result stops the job before Golpo renders anything.
- Generate with Golpo. The agent sends the approved script in Script Mode, with the course's locked style, voice, Video Instructions, and Voice Instructions.
- Transcribe what was actually said. Run speech-to-text on the finished video's audio. Learners hear the transcript, not the draft.
- Run two independent transcript reviews. Make two separate LLM calls, separate from the creator agent and the QA agent. Each gets only the transcript and the reference, with no access to the draft or to the other reviewer's verdict. Each checks every spoken number, term, and claim, then returns pass or fail and quotes the line it objects to. The lesson moves on only when both pass. A failure or a disagreement goes to an instructor.
- Check the frames. Pull a frame every few seconds and confirm every number and label on screen matches the approved script.
- Publish. The pipeline posts the video to the course platform or LMS through its API as a draft, then releases it under the course's own approval rule.
FAQ
Can these lessons be generated and published automatically?
Yes, on the course platform's side. Using the Golpo MCP server or the Golpo Claude Skill, a pipeline can check the script against the written lesson paragraph the video sits beside, generate the video, run two independent transcript reviews, and post the lesson to the platform as a draft. Anything that fails a check goes to an instructor.
Which text wins when they disagree?
The written lesson. Unpublish the video, fix the script or the paragraph, recheck, and render again. Leaving both up teaches two versions.
What does the cash video show?
One investment: debit Cash 5,000 and credit Equity 5,000. Assets and equity each rise by 5,000, which is the paragraph’s equation in a single case. The figures are constructed.
What does the margin video show?
Price 40 minus variable cost 25 is a contribution margin of 15. 15 / 40 is 0.375. The paragraph remains the definition. The video draws that pair and does not add a pricing rule.
Can the video introduce the next chapter’s idea?
No. A new idea needs a new paragraph first. The companion is allowed to illustrate the paragraph it sits beside. Scope creep is a failed check, even when the extra idea is true.
Who drafts and who checks?
The course platform’s creator agent drafts from the frozen paragraph. Its QA agent recomputes the case and points at the sentence that allows each line. Golpo renders the approved script and does not choose the canonical text.
Is this the same as repurposing a blog post?
No. The blog-post guide cuts one article into several distribution assets. This page is a course layout: definition, then a single illustrated case, with the definition still in force.
What should autoplay be set to?
Off, so the reader meets the sentence before the case starts talking. The player is the platform’s template. Golpo’s file does not decide that setting.
