Two documents. Two very different jobs.

The first video gets the larger stage because it explains the broad mental model. The companion is intentionally smaller and more task-specific—the way a useful institutional video library should work.

A FIGURE LOCK line is not a fact check

Both production briefs include a FIGURE LOCK instruction: numbers, dates, times, and identifiers should come from the attached document. That is a prompt to the generator. It does not read the district’s live systems, compare the frames to the PDF, or block a wrong stop time. A person still checks every figure against the approved source. Official maps stay in the district’s map system. A redrawn route in the video is not that map.

From approved document to a reviewed explainer

1. Source. The current approved operations artifact, turned into a family-facing brief the communications owner can stand behind.
2. Settings. Saved district Custom Style, an authorized voice or optional presenter, and the approved map inserted with Own Media when the notice depends on geography. Use Custom Scenes so the decision, the affected audience, and the next action each get a scene.
3. Script review. Prompt Mode drafts from the document. Approve it with Edit script before creating video. Use Script Mode when a time, stop, or legal line must be spoken exactly.
4. Result. The weather video and the route video on this page are the renders that exist. Both come from specimen documents.
5. One correction. The first edited version is free across sessions until finalized. If a label shows the wrong time or stop, frame editing can change that visual (all paid plans) and later versions are charged on the selected duration. It does not change the narration. Wrong words mean a script revision and a new render. This page does not show that correction.
6. District steps, outside Golpo. Publish the approved MP4 beside the official alert and an accessible text alternative. Remove it from public pages when the effective window ends, and keep the approved record in district systems. Golpo does not publish, notify families, or withdraw the file.
7. One reuse. A reviewed language variant of the same brief: a separate render, checked by a language reviewer. Two language versions are not on this page. Own Narration audio is not translated by a language dropdown. These examples are document-to-narration renders, not Own Narration.

Style, voice, map, and language

• District styling. Save a Custom Style from an approved image, video, or description and reuse it in Canvas or Sketch (Business and higher; API use also needs API access). It is not pixel-exact reproduction of the district brand kit.
• Superintendent voice. An authorized Voice Clone (Business and higher) speaks new narration in a saved adult voice. That requires the person’s permission. It is not a recording of the announcement. Voice Instructions (Creator and higher) only direct a synthetic voice.
• Optional presenter. AI Presenter (Creator and higher) can place a stock presenter or a custom presenter from an authorized photo beside the explanation. A synthetic presenter is not the superintendent on camera. Recorded Picture-in-Picture is the path that keeps a real video of the speaker visible.
• The route map. Insert the approved map image with Own Media (Business and higher) instead of asking Golpo to redraw an authoritative map. The transport brief tells Golpo to animate the old and temporary route side by side. That redraws the route. It does not insert the district’s map file.
• On-screen text from the script. On-screen text from script only (Canvas and Sketch) limits generated labels to the script and may show a subset. It is not a caption track and not a check that the times are right. In the API, set onscreen_text_from_script_only.
• Language variants. Each language is a separate render (API language_variants). Creator and higher include multilingual features; Starter has a language add-on. 45+ languages are listed. A local reviewer still checks names, dates, and the next action. These two videos are English only.
• Scene breaks. Custom Scenes (Growth and higher) let you keep the decision, who is affected, and what to do in separate scenes. The scene map does not rewrite the narration or prove the facts.

Plan, duration, and credits

The weather render runs 1:56. The route render runs 2:08. Standard generation uses 1 credit per selected minute. Count from the duration you select in the project. A 2-minute selection is 2 credits. What the video must never decide

• Live emergency instructions and current district alerts always control.

Frequently asked questions

Can a district automate videos for every school?

Golpo can generate a separate video for each controlled source, including through the API when the plan includes API access. Each school, route, date, or language is its own reviewed render. Publishing the file, sending the alert, and withdrawing it when the window ends stay in district systems.

Should the video announce the closure?

The official alert does that. The video explains the approved decision and operational consequences.

Can a forecast be narrated as a closure trigger?

Only according to the district's own reviewed matrix; weather products are inputs, not school decisions.

How should temporary videos expire?

Publish with an effective window, remove them from evergreen libraries, and retain the approved record.

What should the district measure?

Measure defects, whether families can say who is affected and what to do, notification reach, accessibility, and staff time. Do not treat a video as evidence of a safety outcome.

Does a FIGURE LOCK prompt validate the facts?

No. FIGURE LOCK tells the generator to take figures from the attached document. A person still compares every number, time, stop, and map with the approved source. It is not an automated fact check, and a redrawn route is not the official map.

Are the district documents on this page a live district's records?

No. They are specimen documents with synthetic institutional details. The videos were rendered without saying so aloud. A live notice needs the district's current approved document, owner, and review. If you share the MP4 or PDF, include the specimen notice from this guide.
