The obstacle is drift: five files that slowly disagree about the method. The source pack is the authority. Golpo produces the formats. Your version list keeps them tied to that pack.
Create a lesson source pack
Record the objective, the prerequisite, the core explanation, the worked example, the misconceptions, the vocabulary, the accessibility notes, and the check for understanding. That pack is the source of truth. The videos are derived from it.

Canvas Compact groups components in a scene. Expanded spreads them so a multi-step method is readable. Notebook is Compact-only. Color starts at Growth on the current subscription table. In the API, an unsuffixed style value selects Compact, and _legacy selects Expanded on the ten pre-Notebook styles.
Workflow: one source, then the pair you will use
- Source. The source pack for the next lesson. Paste the objective, vocabulary, and worked example. Prompt Mode drafts from that pack. Uploading it does not certify the draft. You still check the method.
- Settings. Save a Custom Style from a class visual or a short description, and choose the voice you want students to hear again. Custom Style is on Business and higher, and on Pay As You Go. API use also needs API access. The style guides the look. It is not pixel-exact typography. Apply the same style and voice to every format, and change the script objective, duration, layout, and scene map for the job.
- Script review. Turn on Edit script before creating video. Use Script Mode when the worked steps must match the method you teach. Script Mode allows about 1,050 characters per selected minute. Visual directions belong in Video Instructions. In the API,
custom_scriptsupplies narration.enable_script_only_modegenerates a script without rendering a video. Turn on on-screen text from script only (Canvas and Sketch) so labels stay inside the source vocabulary. Golpo may show a subset. Those labels are not captions, and they do not verify the math. - Result. Render the pre-class clip. Then render the absence recap as its own video. Watch each one against the source pack and confirm they do different jobs.
- One correction. If a bar, label, or numerator is wrong and the spoken method is right, use frame editing (Business and higher, and Pay As You Go). The edit is charged on the selected duration of that version and does not change the audio. If the method words are wrong, revise the script and render that format again.
- One reuse. From the same pack, render the Expanded worked example, or a family-language version. Language variants are separate renders. In the API, set the primary language and
language_variants. A qualified reviewer checks terms, examples, and reading level. An Own Narration recording keeps its spoken language. A language dropdown does not translate that audio.
Settings that make two fractions videos different
Take a hypothetical equivalent-fractions pack: the objective, the vocabulary (numerator, denominator, equivalent), one worked conversion, and the misconception that students change only the numerator. The two columns are the settings that make the outputs different. Generate each video from your pack. They share a style and a voice, and they teach different jobs.

Custom Scenes (Growth and higher, and Pay As You Go) move sentence boundaries, split or combine scenes, and stay within the engine limit. The map does not rewrite the narration. Use it so the vocabulary clip stays compact and the worked example gives each transformation its own scene.
The absence recap is a third render from the same pack: about 2 minutes, a script that restores what class did and names the problem to try tonight, and scene boundaries that keep the method beside that task. It is not the worked example with the ending cut off.
The family-language version is a fourth render. Golpo lists 45 or more languages. Creator and higher include multilingual generation. Starter has a language add-on. Confirm the current add-on on the pricing page. A person who can review the language checks the mathematical terms before anyone sends it home. Translation of the narration is not the same as a localized explanation of the homework routine.
Voice Instructions (Creator and higher, and Pay As You Go) can slow the pace on a fraction name for generated narration. They do not clone a teacher. A saved voice for new scripts is an authorized Voice Clone (Business and higher, and Pay As You Go).
Plan, duration, and credits
A standard video uses 1 credit per selected minute. The pair to make first is the 1-minute pre-class clip (1 credit) and the 2-minute absence recap (2 credits). The 2-minute Expanded worked example is 2 credits more. A family-language render of similar length is another 2 credits, because it is a separate video. On Pay As You Go, Edit script before creating video charges 10% after the script and 90% after the video. A frame edit is charged again on the selected duration of that version.
Custom Style and frame editing are on Business and higher, and on Pay As You Go. Custom Scenes and color are on Growth and higher; Custom Scenes are also in Pay As You Go. Multilingual generation is included from Creator upward, with a language add-on on Starter. Prompt Mode and script review are available across plans; length and controls vary. The Free plan is not a downloadable publishing workflow for a class set.
Keep the versions in your own list
Golpo generates each video and returns the file. It does not store your source pack, notice when the method changes, or retire the old absence recap. Keep a simple list: unit, objective, source version, audience, format, language, selected duration, and review date. When the method changes, edit the source pack first, then regenerate the formats that teach the changed step, and review them against the new version. Leave the formats that are still accurate in place.

What is a lesson source of truth?
The teacher-approved objective, explanation, examples, terminology, misconceptions, and assessment notes. Every classroom format is generated from that pack, with its own script objective.
Should every format contain the full lesson?
No. Each format does one job and keeps the source meaning that job needs. A vocabulary clip and a worked example are different videos, with different scripts, durations, and scene maps.
Can one lesson produce multiple languages?
Yes, as a separate reviewed render for each language. Golpo lists 45 or more languages. Creator and higher include multilingual generation, and Starter has a language add-on. A qualified person reviews terminology. An Own Narration recording is not translated by a language setting.
How is drift prevented?
Keep a source version and a list of the videos derived from it, outside Golpo. When the method changes, update the source first, then regenerate and review the affected variants. Golpo does not watch the source pack for you.
What should never be included?
Leave out personal or sensitive student information. Family-support versions use plain language and the shared method, with no student data.
How do I make two classroom formats actually different?
Change the script objective, the duration, the layout, and the scene grouping. A one-minute Canvas Compact vocabulary clip and a two-minute Canvas Expanded worked example can share a Custom Style and a voice and still teach different jobs. Cutting one file shorter does not create the second lesson.
